| Navigate through POSS
Throughout POSS, there are certain tools you will use to navigate. We will cover those in this section. The following buttons and icons are available:
• Exit: to close POSS

| Request a Day Off |  |
| Request A Day Off From The Yearly View Tab
Used to allow a user to request time off while viewing their schedule for the entire year.
1. Open the “Yearly View” tab
2. Find the date and shift of the employee requesting time off

| Schedule does not appear in yearly tab, only days off. In the past both the schedule and the days off appeared. | |
| To show the working schedule in the monthly,yearly or calander view you must assign an abbreviation if the "Update Shifts Menu" option in the "Setup" menu. |

| This is usually happens after a Officer is reasigned or transfered. This is usually happens if you reassign an officer from the Reasign an Officer Screen and don't check off the Change Days off box.

| POSS not sending emails (McAfee VirusScan installed) | |
| The problem is caused by the newest version of McAfee VirusScan Enterprise. McAfee will block emails from POSS if it thinks POSS is a mass mailing program. Below are the step by steps to disable this feature in McAfee.

2. Change the Date of the schedule to one of the switch, substitution, or reciprocate dates.
